Andreas Schenk PT, PT, Owner, Vice-President

Andreas’s personal experiences with lasting sports injuries that resulted in multiple leg surgeries with acute and chronic pain contributed to his decision to become a physical therapist.
As an athlete, he wanted to return to his prior level of physical training quickly. He looked to various whole body approaches such as yoga, and Tai Chi. By practicing these disciplines, he began to gain a deeper understanding of how the body moves and functions as a whole. Through his physical therapy studies and extensive knowledge of bio mechanics and anatomy he refined therapeutic exercises to aid with his own physical challenges.

Andreas graduated from the Physical Therapy College in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. He mentored under the Co-Founder of Swiss Manual Therapy, “Thomas Tritschler.” And had the privilege to study the NDT Bobath method with, “Trudy Geisseler.” He also was strongly influenced by Functional Kinetics by Dr. Klein-Vogelbach, and the PNF method.

Upon his arrival to the Unites States in 1991, Andreas obtained his physical therapy license in California. He then worked for nine years in nursing homes where he continued to develop his skills treating a variety of patients with complex issues ranging from shoulder and hip replacements, spinal injury, amputees and patients severely affected by strokes.
His recognition of some of the limitations of the many standard treatment applications in this work environment motivated him to constantly search for improved treatment results. As he opened Results Rehabilitation Inc. in Coronado an outpatient clinic, he integrated his body of knowledge with his prior experiences to develop and expand the structure of his treatment method to include a diverse population of patients ranging from children to athletes.
Hence the “The 12 Domains of Excellence” with the assistance of Nataly Pluta, PT and Jennifer Gasko, PT was created. It is the cornerstone upon which “THE RESULTS TREATMENT METHOD” is based. It is exclusively used by all therapists in his outpatient clinics. He has also trade marked a set of exercises known as “THE SCHENK EXERCISE METHOD” that are widely used by patients.

Additionally, Andreas was invited to teach Neuro-Science, applied NDT – Bobath, as an adjunct professor at Loma Linda University in Redlands, California. Consequently Results Rehab continues to be an accredited setting for Loma Linda Doctorate physical therapy interns and students from various universities to complete internship rotations that allows them to gain practical skills under his supervision.
For the past 3 years, Andreas has also been teaching The Results Treatment Method to therapists in Germany, where it is known as the “Schenk Method”. He remains passionate about teaching this Method to other therapists so that more patients can benefit from the effectiveness of this method.
